I have a Renogy 2000w inverter/charger that I use to charge 4 deep cycle batteries at the cabin. I use a Honda 2000w generator for charging. When I plug inverter into the generator it kicks it up to fast idle, inverter stays in boost mode, when it reaches float stage, generator automatically go to idle. Recently for some reason the inverter will only charge in float stage and never kicks up the generator for fast charging.Takes forever to bring batteries up to full.
Any ideas
Thanks

I also have 2 solar panels connected to inverter. When up for extended periods I need the generator to charge battery bank. Can usually run the cabin needs for 24-36 hrs on a full battery bank. It normally would take about 2 hours to fully charge batteries in boost stage, now it will only charge in float stage for some reason. Inverter doesn't seem to be sending signal to charge in boost stageYou might have burnt out something in the inverter...
