20A max, no inverter loads!!!!
better to run loads off the battery but if you must use the load terminals, what do ya want, on dusk to dawn, on a few hrs after dusk???
there is a setting on all the time, is that what you want.
what type of load do ya have that ya need to used the load terminals?

after looking at thru the on line manual, You can't step through all the screens?
You can't stop at the load mode screen and change it?
plus the previous ?s so ya get it set to what you want
Best you leave load mode alone.
different controller made by the same co (srnesolar), I have it set to 3 cuz I want my landscpae lights to come on for 3 hrs after dusk, the lights are connected to the load terminals and the controller turns them on when panel voltage is low (less than 6v) and then off after 3 hrs.
If you can navigate to the load mode screen, ya press and hold the enter key til it flashes and then use up or down to change it then you press and hold the enter key to save the setting.

I have the same unit.
Yes the instruction manual definitely needs to be rewritten.
Do you have it all hooked up?
It's easier to ignore the instructions when changing the settings.
Use the up and down buttons to select through the different settings.
Using those 2 buttons you will eventually end up back at the home page.
Use the left and right buttons to make changes to the settings.
When you have made the desired change to a setting, use the up or down buttons to go to the next setting.
If you want to use the software (it's problematic as well), see my other post:
renogy-store.boards.net/thread/580/solor-monitor-software-broken
to make it work.

I just set up my 40A Rover for a 12V battery but would like to change boost time from the default 2 hours. I am not able to find the setting for boost time in the "user" menu for battery type on the unit. It only enables me to change the voltage (equalize, boost, float etc) settings. What am I missing?
Thanks for your help....

Suzanne, I believe you need to use a computer connected to the controller to change boost time.

Thank you rabird. That is not clear from the manual...however there was a USB/rs232 cable in the box with the unit. I'm guessing I'd need a PC to use it...Ack!

Yes, you need to hook that usb cable to your unit, and hook that up to a computer.
See renogy-store.boards.net/thread/580/solor-monitor-software-broken
for info on how to get the software to work.
Also, if you don't have a computer, go ahead and hook that cable to your system now, before you lose it. That way you will have it there already hooked up when you get a real computer.

not MPPT, the same company that makes that controller makes a 40A pwm with bluethooth so ya can monitor/change stuff via a cell phone some distance from the controller.

Bluetooth would be handy, but PWM is not going to work well in my system. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to borrow my Mom's laptop!
Also of interest, as far as I'm aware the bluetooth doesn't work with anything else but android or apple, so if hou have windows tablet or phone you are still up the creek without a paddle, and need a laptop...
