My AGM's are the Fullriver 224-6's and I have 4 of them installed. They are 3 yrs old now. They cost me ~200$US ea when I got them. I had enough old batteries kicking around to turn in for cores. FR tech said to use the SLD charge profile and set Temp comp to 4mv I've designed my layout to accommodate another two more batteries if I find my better half really is an energy hog (she denies it). Ill double check my setting on the Rover, SLD seemed to make sense when I was setting up so I think I did that. Didn't touch temp comp though, Ill see what its sitting at too and some adjustments. What do you use to monitor your batts? Just the rover?

Yes, relieved nothing strange is going on. I never realized the surface charge dies off and they rest at their regular voltage after a few hours. Thanks for your perspective it them. No problem, Yes they do some odd things from time to time... In the beginning I kept a close eye on my system... But after a while I just look at it every day or so just to make sure they are staying charged..... They are fairly trouble free.....

LOL You can't lie with solar...... In the beginning I kept catching myself leaving the lights on and using solar when propane works much better and faster. But it doesn't take long to figure better ways to do things outer than using solar to save power....

It's cheap and comes with a low side shunt. I have a custom system based on an ESP8266 with INA219 connected to a high side shunt plus some other bits that monitor the battery flow. It also reads from the old Tracer CC I had installed before the Rover and I'm working on changing the code to support the Rover comms method.
