Way back in the 1800's old Ed Weston knew he had to have one or he never would have invented the voltmeter, ohm meter and amp meter, or the Weston Cell battery...And that battery for 100 years was the world wide calibration laboratory standard...Many still exist that work like new even tho they are 80 years old. I have an old GE DR fridge that's going on 80 years old that runs off of my solar system 24/7.....
Old things should last forever they were built that way........

Do you also neglect your gas gauge? My last GF bragged she had ran out of gas on every road in her county....Ya'll kin? Nope I keep it full..... See I don't waste money on useless fru fru for my solar system so I can afford gas....

Yaknow Tatt, this forum is here to ask questions where people with proper knowledge and experience can contribute correct answers....These posts will be here forever as a resource for all afterwards....When members constantly turn every topic into a pissing match, it quickly becomes a place where only they populate...Gets a bad rep, yaknow? Now seriously, are you saying that you really don't care what your daily SOC is?....And that you don't monitor status thru a shunt?...Yet it is also you that has stated several times here that you monitor your total daily KW generated and even graph it out....And one time in particular that you relied on your CC to total that for you....Well friend, if all that is true, you certainly do need a shunt and meter because once again you have talked yourself into a false "safe zone" where your allow your charge controller to blab useless misleading info. BTW, if your CC can't accurately measure voltage, how can it accurately determine the histories you refer to?...Especially without a proper shunt?
How long have you had your solar system? Be honest if you can.... Or is it even up and running yet?
Well, they hadn't quite perfected solar powered submarines when I retired back in '93....And I guess it was about 2000 when I got my first sunburn from solar radiation VS nuclear stuff....Up until then I had that luminous white prison pallor with rosey red cheeks and I glowed in the dark....I quess it was two years ago I was tanned enuff to safely venture out to fully experience the Sun....And that was when I said to myself, "Yaknow, whatever that big yellow orange ball is up there, it sure emits lots of heat and light....hummmm. ....And that is when I invented Solar Power.

Keep reading it's good for you..... It keeps you young.....

Presently I'm flat against a wall with further development, because I'm at the point that unless I can finger out how to make that Sun remain stationary full time, then Solar is just a part time thang, yaknow?...If anyone meets the guy that tossed the Sun into orbit, please ask him to contact me....So far everyone tells me that I orbit around the Sun, but I know for a fact that the Sun orbits around me.

I think the best thing to do would be to move to a planet that has more than one Sun...

I don't guess Joe has anymore questions for ya' about wiring his van.
Joe, if you'd like to start another thread on the topic, we can give you a quick easy rundown to get you rolling in the right direction. And you'll still be able to afford fuel for your new rig when complete.
I built a model airplane once when I was a kid, that's why I think I'm a fighter pilot. Aces High!
