Yeah, lotsa discussion here about PWM/MPPT, Series, parallel and so on..And that is GOOD that we discuss it! Even when we get sorta angry and determined about our particular views, the fact we are discussing it is GOOD. I present this video NOT because I seek support in my views, but because it may help others decide the route they select. Series, parallel, MPPT or PWM really are big choices, and those choices are for to YOU to decide for your rig and YOUR solar system...So the more you know, the more you May regret after your choices, and the more you may later perhaps cheer. Nuff said, watch this: youtu.be/XzuikyLpp1USmooch, guys.

Come on guys, the video I posted shows you all the differences between MPPT/PWM, when in series and parallel..It even includes shading when in series with MPPT even in series.
And in all cases, MPPT wins out...And yeah, the MPPT in the video is a Renogy Rover VS a Windy Nation PWM, both highly respected controllers....And all using the very same Renogy panels.
Here it is apples to apples...Series VS parallel, MPPT VS PWM...Here it is friends. Suck it up if you are capable of digesting it.
First, please first look at how quality MPPT controllers auto adjust charging amps and voltage after looking at battery voltage...PWM controllers don't do that...No, no PWM charge controller will EVER first look at your battery bank voltage before it decides charging voltage...Nope.
Here is the VERY reasons I selected MPPT and paralleled 12V panels over PWM crap...Total AMPS...Frigging charging AMPS!...Much higher amps at 12V nominal as long as volts from panels is above battery voltage, and Much less losses from partial shading when in parallel.
So you darned right I will go with many 12V panels in parallel into several low voltage/high amp, high quality MPPT controllers over any single hi volt MPPT or PWM controller....Yes, I certainly will.
Because when I look up at that Sun, I KNOW deep in my soul, that if I do my studies, and if I make good choices, and if I keep up with tech, and if I am willing to invest in the best as it occurs...Then I will get all I want from it.
