My 400 watt Renogy Eclipse system is undergoing hard wire mods....Soon it will be married into my RV A/C via auto transfer switch external to it's Xantrex 1000 watt PSW inverter....This system operates off my house batteries and is half the power of my main RV solar system that consists of 600 watts of Eclipse panels, large Life Line battery bank and 2000 watt inverter charger already hard wired into my RV A/C distro.
This back up solar system consists of four 100 watt Renogy Eclipse panels, one 1000 watt Zantrex PSW inverter connected via auto transfer, two 220 amp flooded lead acid 6V golf cart batts, 1 Blue Sky 3000i charge controller, one Deltec shunt with Bogart battery monitor.
Shore power/genset charging will remain off my motor home converter recently upgraded to Progressive Industries 4600 series unit.
Wheee!, always improving, always modifying, always thinking.
Gotta this done quick so that I can include it in 2018 taxes solar rebate.
Oh, almost forgot..the new transfer switch is a KISAE TS15A. I don't like it has a slow 80MS xfer speed, but it has the hard wire connections I prefer, and reviews show it is very reliable....The Zantrex xfer is also 80ms, but the connections is via pigtails, and pigtails suck
Oh, and also this system up until today used a Samplex 600 PSW inverter, now it is a Zantrex 1000....The Zantrex is a MUCH better inverter than the Samplex today.....There was a day when Samplex was top quality stuff, but alas Samplex outsourced their stuff to China and the quality and reliability has gone off the cliff....So now I misspell Samlex with Samplex as an insult in return for their insult to all Americans....KEEP YOUR JUNK, CHINA!
