All,
This morning I noticed an "ACr" code on my controller. None of the buttons work on the controller. I tested the LED lights I have hooked up as well as the fridge and both lights and fridge are getting power from the batteries(via fuse box). Can someone tell me what the code means? And, how to clear it and if there is an issue, point me in the right direction? I did try disconnecting the solar panels, then the batteries, waiting a while(30 minutes because I was doing something else), and then reconnecting in reverse order. No change, still getting the ACr code on the controller. And, lights and fridge (engle 40qt) still work. Have had no issues in the past 3 months the system has been operating. Only difference being that temps fell to around 5 degrees F last night and has been the same all day (in CT US).
System is 2 renogy 100W panels hooked up to renogy 40amp mppt controller and 2 renogy 100ah lithium batteries. Put together in october 2018.

I think your batteries are suffering because of the low temps..... Batteries should never be allowed to get that cold..... I say your ACr is caused by low voltage.....

Voltage @ 14.4, batteries just fine. Temps outside were around 5, didn't say temps in van were 5 F. Can you show me where it says the renogy 100ah lithium batteries should not be exposed to "low temps"? MOST of the US right now as I write this are below freezing.

My batteries aren't below freezing they are inside..... It's not good for any battery, Li or not to be very cold... It weakens them.....
I'm just telling you why I think you got the error code..... Good luck....

A call to customer service might be the way to go.
My batteries are under the van and I have had no unexpected issues. Slower charging and faster draining yes, but no failures or codes.
We've not seen single digits in my area yet, but low teens and no issues.

Ron Miller: Wondering how your issue was resolved. I'm looking at the 40 amp MPPT Rover for purchase, and am very interested in Renogy's customer support system. Sounds like they do not include a user manual with the controller; I'd expect a troubleshooting section would detail the error codes.

I have a 40a CC and a 60a CC one came with a manual and the other not but they are available on line, but they seem to be vague at best....
Customer service is hit and miss at best...

Yes, looked up the online manual to find a chart that lists 10 error codes, all "E*". So no "ACr" definition anywhere in the document, and it's best not to guess at it. Maybe the OP or a Renogy admin will update us.

Just to confirm you have a Rover Li correct? Is this also connected to a LFP battery? If so, the ACr is an activation request from the battery. In most if not all cases, the code will solve itself and you need to leave the controller connected to the battery. Make sure to have the battery not connected to any loads but the controller while the controller tries to activate the battery. If after a few hours the code is not resolved then I would advise you to contact technical support. On page 7 I believe it talks about the activation feature, but you are correct, it does not mention an ACr code.
