My rover is currently in a 12v setup and i want to go to 24v.
Can i just disconnect the rover from the 12v battery bank, and setup the battery bank as 24v and connect the rover back ? will the rover auto change to 24v or do i have to do it manually after? Could it damage the rover if its not auto changed?

You'll need to make sure you have high enough input voltage, 30+v, ie at least 2 panels is series or '24v' panel.

You can disconnect the Rover from your 12V battery bank, reconfigure them to 24V and then reconnect your Rover and it should auto detect to 24V bank. However, it is important to note that your panels should be minimally connected in a 24V fashion, so you need to have at least 2 panels (assuming 100W) in series if not all panels. This would allow for 24V battery charging. -Renogy Team

Transition to 24v went perfect. I get more AH now per day, Much better efficiency! I would not recommend anyone going solar to be on 12v, 24v FTW.

Yep that's what I have read, It's good to know that it went smoothly and it's working great for you.... I might go in that direction when I have to replace my batteries.... I hope it's years from now....

I had to buy a new one. 24v AIMS 1500 watts. Yea that's something that would hold me back..... I have a 2000w and a 500w 12v inverter....
But on the bright side I'm going to set up another system that I only have the panels and a 40a CC... So I believe that one will be 24v since I don't have the 24v only stuff yet...... I've been thinking about doing it as a 24v so I'm sure I will go that way for sure....
Thanks for posting...
