Newbie here, with a rather technical question.
A have the above stated Solar Panel and all is good when it comes to charging my battery (Bioenno 30Ah).
I am a Ham Radio Operator and I have the Epic PWRGate from West Mountain Radio, which is essentially a UPS unit that allows you to connect a standard power source and a battery as a source, and a ham radio as a consumer. The radio will draw power from the standard power source, but when power goes out, it will seamlessly switch over to the battery source. Once power comes back, it will power the radio and also charge the battery. The Epic also allows to connect a solar panel (with up to 30V), and the manual states pretty clearly to connect hte panel directly do the PWRGate, and not through the charger.
That is a little difficult since the panel is connected to the charger through the screw terminals and it wouldn't be practical to disconnect and reconnect it over and over again, depending on the use.
Can the Voyager Charge Controller be easily bypassed?
Should I put together my own adapter cable that me easily connect the panel to the Controller or disconnect it and then hook it up to the PWRGate via Anderson Power Poles?

It seems an easier option is to connect the panels/voyager directly to the battery and let it charge/maintain your battery.

Your disconnect idea seems like a good plan if adamant about having the controller to bypass. -Renogy Team
