I have an existing functioning off grid system. Planning to add some watts to my solar input by adding an array and matching charge controller, the Renogy Rover 40. Existing charge controller feeding bank is another brand/manufacturer.... Was wondering if anybody has experience on the compatibility of Renogy charge controllers paralleled with charge controllers of a different brand? No manufacturer wants to advise putting a Chevy engine into a Ford. But I've read some other threads in different blogs that you can get this type of thing to work. Anybody have experience in this area?

Anybody have experience in this area? We have seen some controllers connected in parallel to the same battery bank system. One becomes the dominant charger and the other the recessive. -Renogy Team
