I am a modern-day nomad. I live in an off-grid yurt for up to 9 months each year.

Ok, folks. Try this one on, and let me know what you think. I have a cone-shaped roof, at about a 30 degree angle, and a 6 foot radius. It is a yurt, with canvas covering. I have 4 one hundred watt panels, and mppt, and good batteries.Totally off-grid. Currently, my panels are on the ground, and I manually move them, if needed. I am changing locations, and I will need to place the panels on my roof. How should I orient them, in Minnesota, near the twin cities, for the next two months, only? I want maximum gain. Obviously, I want to find the optimum compass direction, and split the difference, but how will charging be affected if one of four panels is totally shaded, at some point? Would it be best to cram all the panels close together, and prop them up for a flat face, or would it be better to spread them out, radially? Thanks, folks. This one is really outside the box.

due south, tilted ~40 degrees. Alternatively 'high noon' is ~12:18 (today for minn mn), point em directly at the sun @ 'high noon' a slightly lower tilt will collect more sun over the entire day (summer).
