I would like to see Renogy put more info in there Manuals.... The Manuals tell you just enough to get people in trouble, Just like the Temp sensor on all of the charge controllers.... After a couple of people asked how to hook them up I looked at my 60a CC Manual and all it showed was where to plug it into the CC, and nothing about where the probe goes or where the yellow wire with the lug attaches....
It seems like they were in a hurry to make the Manual and put just enough to get by...

The Rover20/40 manual gave me just enough info to set it up, but not really enough detail, and it certainly didn't provide "CLEAR" information, such as for other battery types (My battery bank is VRLA but I apparently have to use the SLD setting and had a delay in using the MPPT controller as I had to message and ask the question.

I think Renogy does just ONE thing absolutely perfectly.
......And that is their Eclipse panels...Those panels are the current high standard for RV applications, even tho they are extremely expensive and their mounting approach sux...They are GREAT panels.
Charge controllers, batteries, inverters, and the rest of your system should be properly speced out to be compatible with each other and sourced from the manufacturer of the absolute best of each item for YOUR system.
