I've contacted Renogy support and was told that it was discontinued even though it's still being shipped with the Rover series. I want to connect the charge controller to my raspberry pi so I can create custom apps, create Echo/Google home skills, a solution to check my power status across the internet than rather be in range for the bluetooth, but I can't because you want to push the bluetooth adapter. While it is nice you should allow for alternatives for developers.

Did you find a good alternative to using that RS232 to USB cable? I accidentally connected the pins on that wrong and sent 15V through a raspberry pi. The pi did not survive and I'd like to make sure I know what I'm doing before I connect wires straight to the GPIO again.
