The BT interface works sometimes. It just disconnects way too much for my liking. Now I log a bunch of data to a SQL db so better than what the BT gives anyway.

Are there any plans to update the software? I'm specifically speaking of the iOS app but I assume the question still applies to Android. The app has not been updated in over a year (best I can tell from the app store) and let's be honest, with the number of bad reviews, obviously the app isn't perfect.
I was considering buying a Wanderer Li 30A model and BT-1 adapter as a less expensive option to buying another EXPENSIVE Victron but their software works... WELL.
Thanks, Richard

I am having these same issues with my BT-1 (Android) and Rover 30 but it sounds like there is still no clear solution. Since I may need to upgrade to a larger CC soon guess I'll look around for one that has better monitoring capability...

Since I may need to upgrade to a larger CC soon guess I'll look around for one that has better monitoring capability... I want to correct and clarify my earlier comments on the BT-1 used with my Rover 30... I was using the BT-1 bluetoothed to a Nexus tablet right next to the Rover with erratic results, slow response, frequent dropping, etc. It did work occasionally, but poorly. Today I started using the BT-1 with a Galaxy s9 phone and everything worked great, very fast and responsive. I believe older bluetooth devices may not perform well with the BT-1 even though they appear to connect. Hope this helps to clarify things for some others with similar problems.

Here are a couple of tips that have helped me - I use the mobile app to monitor three controllers: (1) When switching to a new controller, disconnect from the old one first, then perform a new search. Then connect. Might have to do it twice. (2) Whenever the app seems stuck, sometimes simply reconnecting to the same controller doesn't work. In those cases, temporarily switch to a new controller, then switch back. That usually wakes the app up and it will start monitoring in real time again. By the way, I have been digging more into the internals, and the BT-1 actually uses Bluetooth LE (low energy). That accounts for the distance sensitivity, but the LE protocols allow for more automated pairing. Works great when it works. Pain in the butt when it doesn't.
