Hi, Hoping someone can assist. I am new and have a 100 renology mono eclipse panel rigid, 12v (operating volt 17.7v, open circuit 21.2 ) Optimum circuit 5.7 A, short circuit at 6.10 Amps. What kind of range of volt and amp do I have to add additional panels and not loose input? I plan to wire parallel.

for parallel keep all the panels the same voltage ie '12v' panels with Vmp's of 17-18.

You only have one panel right?? Input where to the CC??? What kind of CC do you have?? Can you even add any panels to that system??

I am looking to purchase my first solar charging system. Sometimes I see Renogy refer to the Mono panels and sometimes Mono Eclipse panels. Is there a difference?
I've seen eclipse that are flexible...What are you wanting to use your solar for??? Buy Poly panels instead on mono they are cheaper and work just as well....

All I want is something portable (suitcase type) to charge 12 V battery when boondocking for several days at a time. Biggest draw would be water pump, some lighting and necessary fans (exhaust, furnace, etc.). I would rather pay for quality now rather than being disappointed in a year or so.
Yep that's why I asked what your going to do with it.... If you were going to mount it permanently a poly panel will work just fine...
But in your case the flexible might work better and easier to deal with when packing it up...

CPO4, the eclipse are more eff which results in be a tad smaller than their regular mono.
Any of their suitcases would be fine, I'd go with poly.
100 watt poly is the same energy as 100 watt mono or 100 watt eclipse.
If you believe more expensive is better quality then pay more !
