We travel a lot and I usually leave solar system on running some led lights etc. What would happen if the battery got discharged, say after several cloudy days, and inverter alarm goes off but no one home to flip the switch off like I do when I'm home. I suppose this could also happen if someone home but not in the vicinity of the inverter when the alarm sounds. Damage? I'm sure this issue has been addressed on the forum but I couldn't find it so my apologies if repeating it. Thanks for any comments. It really depends on the CC that you have.... But it should just shut off... Yes. Good controller will shut down when the battery is drained too much but only if your load is going thru the controller and not directly connected to the battery. If you connect directly to the battery it will continue to draw down and could damage your batteries. many inverters have low voltage cutoff after the alarm t's a 30A PWM Wanderer Charge Controller and a Renogy Deep Cycle Pure Gel Battery 12 Vold 100 Ah battery. There is a 30A fuse between the CC and the battery and a 100A fuse between the battery and the inverter. It is all part of the 200W Rrenogy kit I purchased about a year ago. Thanks to all! That sounds like it's working out for you.. That's great...
