One end of the cable for my Rover MPPT 40 Amp Batter Temp Sensor plugs into to controller. The other end of the cable has a round connector that looks like it attaches to the battery itself. Does it connect to the positive or the negative terminal?

Does it connect to the positive or the negative terminal? Can you provide a picture by any chance? The only temperature sensors that have the ring are for the Voyager 20A or Commander 60A unit. -Renogy Team

Tape it to the side of the battery......
Renogy really needs to stop putting that type of lug on the end of the temp sensor.... It's very confusing....

I just recieved my Refurbished Rover 40. It, too, came with the sensor with a hole-ed lug. Regardless, will it work with this unit, and if so, where should I place it? Thanks.

That looks like the temp sensor, Tape the lug end to the side of your battery.... That end plugs into your CC..... Yea I know it sounds silly but that's what they use on the end...
