I have just set up my Rover MPPT charge controller and most of if seems to be working fine. I however do not fully understand the load terminal. In the instruction, it reads that the user can turn on/off the load by pressing enter when in load mode option 15.
I have set my Rover to mode 15. When I now press enter, I see the light of the load switch off and when I navigate to the right screen, it shows that the load is 0.00 A.
However, everything that I have connected to the load, some LED and a fridge, keep on working.
So my question now is, what exactly should be the use of turning the load on/off? As it does not seem to affect the appliances connected to the load terminals.
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated as we are currently quite confused.

For me the load terminals are for an on at dusk off at dawn or other timed event at night, most stuff should be connected directly to the battery.
The controller I have made by the same folks that make the rover (http://www.srnesolar.com/index/lists/id/2.html) works fine but I have it set '03' to come on at dusk for 3 hrs.
When I've set it to '15' it works as an on/off switch.
