I have a new install in my van with a Renogy 2000 watt Inverter/Charger and 4-100 ah Renogy batteries. When connected to 30amp shore power my Penguin 2 roof AC works great. When I use my 3000 watt Honda Inverter generator for shore power the inverter/charger will switch to battery power for a few seconds before switching back to AC power when I turn on the A/C...I assume this is normal when the compressor first starts? Thanks in advance for any replies or comments. BTW first time posting here, be gentle

That sounds normal to me... It takes more power at start up and it has to come from somewhere...

SW5(1 or 0?) -Renogy Team

SW1 is 1 SW2 is 0 SW3 is 0 SW4 is 1 SW5 is 0 The set up is working great otherwise Your setup seems to be fine with SW5 being at AC priority. If it switches to battery power just in the beginning we would not worry about that. A possibility is if the input voltage (output from Honda Generator) is below 100VAC sometimes, it could cause a quick battery mode switch like that so a suggestion would be to switch SW2 to position 1, in order to accept a wider AC input. -Renogy Team

Thanks! I 'm just making sure all is well and not damaging the inverter/charger.I ordered an easy start module for the A/C also.
