I have a Renogy 100W Polycrystalline Photovoltaic PV Solar Panel Module RNG-100P which I bought about a year ago on Amazon, but I haven't had time to play with until recently. I mounted the panel on a pole and hooked it up to an MPPT from Victron which has Bluetooth. The battery is a 55 ah 12 volt. When I first hooked things up the I saw 85watts coming off of the panel. For about a week I was getting pretty good numbers, between 220-300 daily watt hours according the Victron MPPT controller. I checked it recently and the panel was down to 2 watts at 12 volts. I pulled the MC4 connectors apart and put a meter on them. I got a momentary 12-15 volt reading and then it died. On amperage it was basically zero.
What happened? Does anyone have an idea? At this point I think the panel must have failed in some way.

Hello Jack, You have verified that you did an open circuit voltage test (panel leads connected to a meter when the panel faces sun) and have 0 Volts indefinitely? You also did a short circuit test? Where you connect your multimeter to amp mode and connected the panel leads to the meter and also received 0 amps? If so, contact technical support during business hours on Monday to have a technician determine if it is defective. This is not normal panel operation. -Renogy Team
