Hello. Noobie here with solar. I bought the 100w mono panel with a 30 amp charge controller. I have 3 100amp hour 12v batteries ran parallel. I have a 4000w inverter hooked up to the batteries. The solar panel showed it was putting out 22.1v earlier today. I have a couple of questions about the charge controller. 1st, the controller keeps charging the batteries. I checked on them today and the controller read 14.8v for the batteries. I also heard some bubbling coming from the batteries. I went back to get a picture of tmy setup and now it read 12.8. How do I set the max charge for the batteries as I think 14.8 is too much? 2nd, the controller is always showing "boost" on the screen. Shouldn't it switch to float when the batteries are charged? I did not get a manual with my kit. Here is a picture of my setup and charge controller. Thank you.

are those sealed/agm, is so change battery type the SLD
PV voltage in boost should be near batt voltage
Since the controller turns on/off very quickly to limit charging to 14.4 sld, 14.6 flooded one get an average voltage.
When off the panel is at Voc (back sticker) of ~20-22v.
half on and half off would average out to (14.6 +22) / 2
As less and less energy is needed to maitain 14.6v the off time increases over the time set like 2 hrs.
Use some power with that inverter and you'll always be catching up cuz 100w is minimal.
It sounds normal to me....
Why do you have such a large inverter? You do know it takes a lot of power to run even though your not using any energy....

Those are sealed/agm, batteries. I do have it set for SLD. I'm glad everything seems OK. I got the inverter stupid cheap, free and brand new in the box. Helped out a friend of a friend and that was my payment. I already ordered 2 more 100w mono solar panels.

if that is the hp2440 controller ya may find the app useful for monitoring via bluetooth, its optional feature of the hp2440 but maybe there for you to pair a cell phone with the controller.

My controller does not have Bluetooth. At least I didn't see a Bluetooth logo on it.
You don't need it... But it seems handy if you like that type of thing......

I honestly do not know. Here's a picture of it from google I found. It just says 30amp charge controller. I didn't get any papers/manual with my kit.

I bet it doesn't have bluetooth... That's just a basic CC... Bird should know for sure or not....
