I am in need of information of number of batteries, number of panels needed or just the watts needed. Running a 20w air pump 24/7, I am currently using 2 6v deep cycle batteries so 12v together, connected to a 100w panel. batteries died after 2 days of overcast days.. each battery is rated 225AH@20hr 185AH@5HR. Also wanting to add a water pump at 40 watts for 24/7 usage. Any help would be appreciated..

Is everything running off of 12v or is anything 120v AC?? If so what size inverter do you have??
Also your batteries need to be the same exact type and size of ah..... That could be some of your problem...

the system is the Renogy 100W 12V Mono Solar Panel, one 30A PWM Wanderer Li Charge Controller, one 20ft 10AWG MC4 Adaptor Kit, one 8ft 10AWG Tray Cable. with a 700w inverter from lowes, the batteries are same make and model, out of my golf cart, both are brand new batteries..right now only the 20w pump is being used.

Got ya, this threw me off each battery is rated 225AH@20hr 185AH@5HR. Sorry That sounds like two different batteries.... But now I understand...
Do the panels get much shade? I think just adding panel would help a lot.... Do your batteries ever get to 14+ volts most days?

Panels are in full sun, but not tracking. new set up, so not sure if they hit 14+volts. system was going fine until the two cloudy rainy days. I will add a panel.. and see how that works. thank you!

dmeyers, I can not help based on the info your provided. 2 x 6v 225ah fully charged could deliver 112 ah to 50% state of charge. 20w or 2A x 24 hrs is ~50ahs and your air pump should operate for 112ah/2A or 56 hrs, and even longer if let drain to death (died). Further complication is that the 20hr rate is at ~10A and should be higher at a 2A discharge. If inverter ineff is the difference then I suggest you find 12v air pump.
A 20w air pump operated via an inverter could be a lot more than 20w, who knows?
To keep batteries at 50% or above, For one day autonomy (no sun) you use 50ah? (I think you are using way more inefficiently) and need 100ah battery. 2 days of no sun would be 200ah battery capacity. 4 days would be 400ah batteries.
To recharge 50ah you would need 225w of solar but that is only you daily use so you need double or triple that for those not so sunny days! Add inverter ineff and you need even more!
