Recently retired and purchased a 5th well for camping in the mountains. I only really use the batteries for lighting. My questions are: With my batteries hooked in parallel, would I run the positive and negative feed from the first battery to the RV load or the positive from battery 1 and the negative from battery 2 to the RV. Do I hook the the remote battery sensor and the PV Cables to the same terminals on battery 1 )Pos to Pos and Neg to Neg). Do the Bulk, Boost, Float and Equalization modes change automatically, or is this something I need to do manually? I hooked up the solar panel and controller to the battery with alligator clips last weekend just to see if it was working, On my I also have the BT-1. In the app for the BT-1 I noticed the solar panel and battery status was normal, with values listed, but when I slid the button on the load function, it slid to the right and went green for a couple seconds, then went back off. The status says - Close. Is this normal, or did I do something wrong, Thanks in advance as I am completely new to this and am trying to learn.

The load feature is set elsewhere, it needs to be in manual to use the slider otherwise is turns itself off. if you have no loads connected directly to the controller ignore the load slider. As for 2 batteries in parallel, you use one battery + and the other battery - for both charging and discharging, the same + and - for both.
