I have ran all of the wiring and hooked everything up and it all seems to work outside of the exhaust fan? I can get the fan to run for around 15 minutes then it will trip the controller into E4 error (load short circuit) it seems that everything else is working fine and has no issues but I'm still confused as to why this is happening? Thanks in advance.

Is your fan AC or DC you didn't say?? If it's DC do you have it attached to the load side of your CC?? If so that's your problem it should be attached to your batteries....

The load terminals can support 20A (many of those fans) or the controller is CRAP. Are you 'grounding' anything?

I guess all the CC are crap because that's what most always happens........... People put more of a load on them than is recommended....

that can happen and the OP should check the wattage of the fan.
