Hello everyone! My wife and I purchased the Phoenix 20 watt model and have fallen in love with it!
We were gifted a 200w panel, and I want to make sure the charge controller isn't going to break or anything if i plug it in to the Phoenix. The specs say it will take a maximum of 100w; does that mean it will waste the extra 100w from the panel or overcharge my unit?
From my very hurried research and little knowledge it seems that it just wont accept anymore than the extra 100w. Thank you in advance, and I apologize if this is asked a million times.

I don't think I would hook it up..... Why not do it right and start building a larger system around the 200w panel since you are liking solar so well....

Chances are the panel will be too large for the Phoenix voltage input, we would not suggest to connect this panel at risk of damaging the generator. -Renogy Team
