Clueless kiwi would like to know why my Rover 20 controller is registering the voltage coming from panel ( 1x 100w. ) but zero amps going to battery ? Voltage reading from panel is between 19 and 21 volts, New Zealand winter and cloudy, whereas battery voltage is sitting between 12 and 13. Any thoughts on why no amps would be greatly appreciated...!

Have you tested your panels to make sure they're operating correctly? www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPb0b-s-Wfs&t=67s-Renogy Team

This is a reading from the controller. Does fluctuate though as the day goes on. Suppose I should buy a multimeter..?

Hi there again.Cheers for info to date.
If the controller is going to boost and float stage ( would this be an indication of the battery being charged ) even though no amps registering on controller.? Have battery type set on gel as I have an AGM so no equalization. Also the panel voltage is fluctuating according to the controller, down to 14 volts in cloud and sitting around 20 in full sun and to zero at night. Would these numbers be an indication of the panel charging and if so ,why would controller be showing no amps to battery. It seems to be charging the battery.

When the controller is in a certain charge state, the voltage might change depending on the state as well as the current. Unless your battery is full, you should be seeing some current from your panel (at least 4-5Amps). You should see amperage throughout the day, but not at night. What can also change the charge controller interface is if you're using a load on the battery while it is charging in order to get more output (increase the output) fro the panel//controller to the battery. -Renogy Team
