Hi Friends:
I have the Renogy basic kit 100 Watt solar panel and charge controller.
i want to run my 110v 38 watt pond aerator just when the sun shines during the day. I have an inverter but I fear that the inverter will need to be reset every time the solar panel voltage drops below the inverter minimum threshold. I was hoping not to use batteries of any kind in the system.
Is there a way to wire the inverter to the solar panel so it just stops when the sun goes down and starts up when the sun rises?

As Tattoo correctly observed, you have to have a battery to make it work.
To expand upon that statement: The charge controller requires a battery to set itself up and function properly. In fact, connecting the battery to the controller is the first thing you do, according to the instructions in the manual.
Furthermore, most controllers specifically say not to connect inverters to the load terminals of the controller. You make those connections directly to the battery, regardless of the load you expect to draw.

I regret to inform you that our inverters run off of deep cycle batteries. At most you can connect your device to the load terminal of a charge controller if it permits, however, we never recommend connecting an inverter to the charge Controller whatsoever due to hazards. The load terminal will only run lights at a maximum they are not strong enough to run a pump you will get an error code... You need to learn what your items will run in the real world not what you've been told...
