Hi All, I am looking for advice and critique on my system. This system will be for my weekend adventure van (2018 Ford Transit Cargo) with me, my girlfriend and dog. My fixed loads include; MaxxairFan, LED Lights, USB plugs, and eventually a heater, water pump, and other misc. small loads. I plan to run a 1000w inverter, but don’t believe it will be used all that much. I want to be able to expand if need be. All of my wires and fuses are labeled so please take a look. Please see my attached imagine. Thank you in advance for the help. - Any recommendations for adding a breaker between the panels and the controller to be able to isolate the panels from the system? - Do my wire gauges look good around the battery? - Any suggestion on my alternator charging method?

I used a breaker on panel/ctlr positive and ctlr/battery positive so I can disconnect the Rover. You need to be able to conn/disconn the panels while the Ctlr has power.

Little word of advice, size your wires to and from Battery and Inverter to double the size your planning for. I had all mine wire with #4 with a 1250 Watt inverter and 100ah flooded battery until I found that I needed to replace the inverter with a 3000 watt unit and replace battery with two 125 AGM. Now I'm upgrading all my main wires to 1/0. As for your ? for the neutral wire, it should be the same size as your largest power wire.

Thanks for the advice Grumpy! Any suggestions on the wiring from the alternator to the Sterling to the battery? I have it at 4awg now, but my gut is telling me the distance may be longer and i may want to go bigger.
Being able to disconnect the panels from the Rover does seem pretty obvious. I'm surprised Renogy doesn't replace the inline fuse with a breaker. So, now on the same run from the panels to the rover, I will have the 10amp inline fuse AND a breaker. Seems redundant.
