I just hooked up my Renogy 100 Watts 12 Volts Monocrystalline Solar Starter Kit with the Wanderer PWM controller. After connecting it to a deep cycle battery the battery and battery type LED both went solid green. I held down the gray button to change the battery type and the battery type LED never started blinking. Tried various other things to no avail. Is this user error or a bad controller? I did hook up the panel and the PV LED went to slow blink indicating it was charging.

" Here's the deal... don't hold the gray button down and wait for the LED to start flashing. IT WON'T. That little flicker after about 15 seconds is not what you are looking for. Just hold down the gray button and count to 7, release the button and quickly press it again once. Now the Battery selection LED should start flashing and when you push the gray button again, it will cycle through the different colors so you can select Red Flooded battery type."
^^^ that seemed to work for a couple of folks - via comments at youtube video above.

Having the same issue as many with my newly installed Wanderer controller. Not letting me select battery type after the 7 seconds. Have tried everything per the literature, from this site, youtube, etc. Everything I can think of. Have a call in to Renogy Tech Support and an email. If I find a fix I will post it. If anyone has any new information that has not already been posted that wold be appreciated. Take care all!
