OK, you guys asked, so I will answer honestly.
Friends at Renogy, there is just one thing you guys do there that is absolutely perfect..And that is to provide very high quality mono panels.
Absolutely nothing else you offer for solar is unique nor priced appropriately for the quality offered.....Well, except perhaps your very high quality inline fuses you source from the SOCABLE guys...They truly are much better than those offered by others.
I WANT Renogy to not just survive, but to explode on the solar scene...Yes, I do....But you guys have a lot of hard work to do to get there.
Most, if not all of your charge controllers are garbage even those from MidNight solar are very outdated and overpriced.....Your inverters too, even the ones you offer from Aims are questionable in quality and overpriced.
Quality Solar panels are sitting on a high plateau and will remain there for perhaps 5-10 years, whereas solar control and charging and inverter electronics are racing fast forward and leaving most re-sellers far behind....Guys like you....Guys just like you there need to make a decision to either simply be happy to sell high quality panels at the best prices possible, or go full hog into developing very hi tech cutting edge charge control and inverter products.
Don't ruin your good name by continuing to offer shitty charge controllers and reselling shitty inverters....Concentrate on high quality efficient panels in the front and carefully consider designing and producing a line of products in the control side of things....But only things that are considerably different and considerably mobetter.
Good luck!

LoL You actually sound like a competitor I'm happy to say i'm in on the bottom of the MPPT controller market, but that's because it was exactly what I needed for our small camping setup which really only powers lights for a few hours, and charges a few devices and phones. I was suggested to the Renogy Rover 20 by a friend who was more than happy with his after nearly 2 years and well, I'd checked out loads of OTHER MPPT controllers and quite frankly, the Rover20 was around a third of the price of the others, and had a much nicer interface as well, and the quality has been there so far

LOL That was my thought when he first joined up.... And it's still my thought.....
What he has done here so far is down grade Renogy products, I will say he has given some good info on RV setups...... But he knows very little about Li battery solar setups...

Nope, I am not a competitor, I am a very dedicated Renogy customer.... Lets face it guys, NO single solar company makes the very best line of solar products....There is often tho one or two of their items that really shine over the competition.....For Renogy it is their panels. I populate this forum to learn and also share things I learned the hard and expensive way. Actually, I know NOTHING about lithium battery solar power systems EXCEPT the batteries a VERY expensive AND must be protected from freezing temps, unlike high quality AGM's...Yes, I am aware of their advantages in much less weight and the fact you can discharge them to almost 0 SOC without damage, and they have longer life cycles....BUT, they simply aren't for me in their current development stage. If I had a van with very limited interior space, I would certainly consider a large single lithium battery, but alas, I have tons of extra room and cargo capacity in my motor home...Therefore I invested 1300 bucks in 264 lbs of LifeLine batteries that take up 3.5 square foot under my queen sized bed....AND the best quality charging and monitoring system possible....Those batteries and their related components should last me till the day I can no long drive this fat bytch Smooch

I don't care for Li batteries.... They seem to be more troublesome and very finicky..... Plus they are over priced....
And I also disagree that one Company can be better than others as a whole.... And I think Renogy is one.... One thing I don't care for is there tech help... I don't think they are very knowledgeable....
Other than that Renogy has more trouble free products than most.....
Enjoy your retirement...... Hope it's for many more years....

Good luck! Renogy offers an abundance of products to meet technical and budgetary needs as well as the in between of those values. In the near future you can expect some different controllers from a Renogy-esque line in higher amperage and functionality. Thank you for your input. -Renogy Team
