What kind of performance are you getting from your solar power system?
This system:
2 100 watt panels in series
20 feet 10 AWG to charge controler
Rover 20 amp charge controller
8 feet 8 AWG from charge controller to 100 Ah deep cycle gel battery
Battery discharge 20% nightly, to 80%
You can see the time, and it is very sunny in California.

For us, less informed, what does DOC stand for. Hopefully not dead on curb. Also, SOC. Are the system results good or bad.

For us, less informed, what does DOC stand for. Hopefully not dead on curb. Also, SOC. Are the system results good or bad. I was thinking depth of charge, but that's not correct. I edited out DOC.

How are your panels oriented? Flat? Tilted? -Renogy Team Location is Los Angeles area. Panels are tilted about 30 degrees. A deluxe 200 watt Renogy kit, with a 100 Ah Renogy Gel battery. Also, I have a 700 watt Renogy inverter running, powering this notebook computer. Attached and running on the charge controller load output. a router, a scanner, and a pair of amplified computer speakers (connected to a cell phone for music). So the panels arn't just charging the battery.

The panel tilt looks like you have set for maximizing summer sun. How well does it do in the winter months?

I noticed that you have the BT version of the Rover. I did not realize that the BT has a record capability, have you used it? If it only records what is shown on the app, not sure if it a must have item. Now, if it has the same flexibility as the 'Solar Station Monitor', I may have to consider doing an upgrade. I wonder if Renogy does trade ins?

You show the little picture that is displaying the CC the information, at the bottom of that it shows 'Record'. Does that mean you can touch that, and it gives some recording choices, or does it just show something else?

My eyes are not the best, so I'm not sure if I missed whether this was ever answered: SOC = State of charge. DOC = Depth of charge? (probably a typo) DOD = Depth of discharge = opposite of SOC. (example, 40% DOD = 60% SOC) I think I got that right ...

Russ, that's good solar harvest, I wonder how much more it would be in MPPT mode vs Boost, the batt has reached temp corrected boost voltage and the controller is limiting power to keep the batt @ set pt voltage (maybe limiting very little due to high load use). Can't see you load power.

The load power (connected to the load terminals of the charge controller) is about 5 watts. The primary load on the system is the inverter, which is usually loaded during sunny hours somewhere around 20 to 80 watts depending upon what I have running. 176 Watts from the panels is the highest power level I've seen, and usually happens at boost charge. (Gel cell battery, boost is 14.2 volts then adjusted for battery temperature. As you already know.)
This system is used mostly during the day. It powers a LCD TV (38 watts) for a few hours every night, so the 100 AH battery doesn't get discharged very deep. There is a computer router that runs 24/7 off the load terminals of the charge controller, and a 10 watt light that is switchable. But that doesn't amount to much. During the day powered by the inverter, a notebook computer, the TV (1/2 hour at lunch), a police scanner, some amplified computer speakers, and sometimes a fan (50 watts) when it is hot.
It's kind of nice to use power from the panels during the day for more than just charging the battery. When the charge controller reaches float mode and the battery is topped off, I don't hesitate to run whatever I want, within reason, and use more power from the panels.
