Hi there, I have two 100 watt Renogy panels and a MPPT charge controller in my truck camper. My two 6v lead acid batteries are next to the charge controller and the wires from the charge controller connect directly to the battery terminals. The battery wires are connected to a terminal block adjacent to the battery. My batteries have expired and I have purchased an gel battery. I have to locate the new battery 8 feet further away from the controller than the old batteries. I am running the new battery wires 8 feet to the existing terminal block. Can I run the charge controller wires to the terminal block where the battery is connected rather than running the charge controller wires 8’ to the new battery location? Thanks, Ric

yes be sure and change the battery type, all wires have good terminations (ring terminallugs etc) that are clean as well as the batt terminals and the dist block.
