Hello! Brand new to the forum, I just received a 200 watt solar kit from Amazon that came with some cables and the charge controller. There was a couple adapters that came in the package that appear to allow me to plug the panels in and run them in parallel. However, the labels on the adapters seem to be backwards. The “input” from the panels state the opposite of what I am actually plugging in. Does anyone know if the polarization actually matters on these y adapters? They seem to connect one way only, but in doing so, they appear to be labeled wrong. Thanks!

I thought the y connectors were intuitive, ya plug the + from each panel in to one and ya plug the - from each panel into the other.
The other end of each is either a + or a minus (whatever was plugged into it). from there the + goes to the + one the controller ...

Yeah I thought so too but the y connector is supposed to be set up like this right. Both panels plug into the duel end and then only 1 wire out to the charge controller for positive and then the same thing for the negative? If that is the case, these seem to be labeled incorrectly. But does it matter?
Edit- figured it out. They do appear to be labeled wrong. Looked at the instructions online and just followed the photos. Good to go!
